Duck ID and Our New Identity Management System

Soon we will introduce a new Identity Management system for UOregon accounts. Identity Management offers:

Duck ID will use security questions, rather than a PAC (UO Personal Access Code), for password resets. The first time you change your password you will create answers to a set of security questions. Then, if you forget your password, the system will ask you to answer those questions before you can reset your password.

What's a Duck ID?
A Duck ID is a username and password.

What Will I Use My Duck ID For?
You can use your Duck ID to access Blackboard, wireless, modem, VPN and your email (such as Alphamail).

Get Your Duck ID
If you are new to the university you can claim your account by visiting account.uoregon.edu. Enter your UO ID number and PAC to log in the first time. The first time you log in, you will be asked to create answers for a set of security questions. Answer carefully. You will be asked to answer these questions when you reset your password in the future.

Do you already have a UO email address? Your Duck ID will be your username (the part of your email address to the left of the @ sign) and your current password.

Changing Your Password
To change your password, go to account.uoregon.edu. Enter your username and password, then click the login button. On the next page, click the Change Password link and follow the directions.

Resetting Your Password
If you forget your password, go to account.uoregon.edu. Enter your username, then click the Forgot Password button. Follow the directions to reset your password.

Managing Your Duck ID
Visit account.uoregon.edu to set email forwards, check quota limits, change or reset your password and change spam filtering options.
