MacOS X Power Conservation
To configure your Macintosh running MacOS X 10.0 or later:
- From the Apple menu, select System Preferences....
- Open Energy Saver
- At the top of the Energy Saver window, click the Sleep tab
- Under the heading "Put the system to sleep whenever it's inactive for",
move the slider to select a reasonable period of time (generally 30 minutes
to an hour)
- If desired, click the "Use separate time to put the display to sleep"
check-box and set the slider to 15 minutes.
We strongly encourage you to save your work before stepping away from your
computer for any length of time.
To wake up your computer press the space bar or move the mouse. Be patient.
Depending on the complexity of your configuration it could take up to two minutes
for all devices to respond.
