UO-Compatible E-mail Programs

The University of Oregon requires the use of SSL-capable e-mail clients.

We recommend the following email clients:

• Windows: Thunderbird
• Mac OS X: Mac OS X Mail (included free with Mac OS X) or Thunderbird

Here is a list of e-mail programs that have been verified to work with UO servers when SSL is enabled:

• Qualcomm Eudora 5.2 or newer
• Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0 or newer
• Microsoft Outlook 2000 or newer
• Microsoft Entourage any version
• Mozilla 1.0 or newer
• MacOS X Mail available in MacOS X 10.1.3 or newer
• Mulberry 2 or later
• Netscape 7.0 or newer
• PegasusMail 4.11 or newer
• Pine version installed on UOregon
• Thunderbird 1.0 or newer
• Webmail available at email.uoregon.edu
