How to Enable Secure Email Passwords in
Microsoft Entourage

NOTE: Do not enable SSL for Outgoing (SMTP) mail. You will not be able to send mail with this feature enabled.

Microsoft Entourage (MacOS X)

  1. From the Tools menu select Accounts
  2. Click on your account and click the Edit button
  3. Click the text that says, "Click here for advanced receiving options"
  4. Click the "This IMAP/POP service requires a secure connection (SSL)" check box
  5. Click OK

Microsoft Entourage (MacOS 8 & 9)

  1. From the Tools menu select Accounts
  2. Click on your account and click the Edit button
  3. Click the text that says, "Click here for advanced receiving options"
  4. Click the "This IMAP/POP service requires a secure connection (SSL)" check box
  5. Click OK
