How to Enable Secure Email Passwords in
Cyrusoft's Mulberry

NOTE: Do not enable SSL for Outgoing (SMTP) mail. You will not be able to send mail with this feature enabled.

Mulberry version 2 and 3

Before starting this procedure, please download and install the Crypto plug-in that Mulberry requires to activate this feature.

Request the Mulberry Crypto package*

  1. From the File menu select Preferences
  2. On the right side of the Preferences box make sure that the Advanced button is selected
  3. On the left side of the Preferences box click on Accounts
  4. In the center of the Preferences box select the Authentication tab
  5. At the bottom of the Authentication tab, you should see a pop-up menu labeled "Secure:". Change the setting to "SSLv3".
  6. Click the OK button to save your preferences.

 

* Cyrusoft requires that you fill out a short form. They then email the link to download the Crypto package.
