How to Enable Secure Email Passwords in
Microsoft Outlook
NOTE: Do not enable SSL for Outgoing (SMTP) mail. You will not be able
to send mail with this feature enabled.
Outlook XP (also known as Outlook 2002) for Windows
- From the Tools menu select E-mail Accounts
- Click the "View or change existing email accounts" radio button
- Click the "Next >" button
- Select your email account and click the "Change..." button
- Click the "More settings..." button
- Click the Advanced tab
- Under 'Incoming mail" click the "This server requires a secure
connection (SSL)" check box
- Click OK
