Macintosh Wireless: OS X

These instructions were written for Mac OS X 10.1 and later. We recommend using Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later. (The university has a site license for Mac OS X. For more information see our Mac OS X Licensing page.)

A) Select the UO wireless network

Click on the Airport menu on the menu bar and select "uowireless"

B) Log in to the wireless network:

1. Open your web browser (like Safari or FireFox). If the following page does not appear automatically, click the reload button in your web browser.
   
2. Click the "UOnet Authentication" link.
3. Enter your email address in the Username field
4. Enter your email password in the Password field
5. Click the Submit button

You should see a "UOnet Authenticated Network Welcome Page". You can now browse the web or start other internet-based applications like email programs or chat clients.
